- Spectrum TV Select Plus → Spectrum Stream TV Pro
- Spectrum TV Platinum → Spectrum TV VIP
Same lineup, different label. Spectrum is effectively admitting the cable wrapper is the problem and trying to look like the apps people already open on Roku, Fire TV, and Google TV. In parallel, on or after September 23, the company is consolidating several Spectrum News regional feeds under a new Spectrum News NECN umbrella across New England, following its earlier 2026 acquisition of NECN assets from NBCUniversal.
What to actually do
If you're already a Spectrum customer: do nothing yet. Your bill, your channels, your price — all unchanged by the rename. The label change is the product team catching up to the marketing team.
